WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NURSE'S CAP

Hello there,

Growing up, I wanted to be a lot of things. I wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a hairdresser, a seamstress, a Rev Sister, a nurse and list goes on.
To each profession there was a reason why I had considered it. And for a nurse, it was because of the small cute hat that they put on their head. To me it made them look so adorable and sweet. Back then, nurses were nice people and right now I'm wondering if it was because I was a child then.

These days, you'll hardly see a nurse wearing a cap, the sweet smile and having that adorable look. Why? Because they've taken it all off. If I tell you I no dey fear nurse's now, I dey lie. Their sharp tongue alone will increase your temperature. But of course, I'm talking about the bad nuts here.

So I ask, what attractive thing about you have you taken off? Maybe because of a bad experience with a situation or someone.
Is it your sweet smile, your amazing laughter, your friendliness, your playfulness, your encouraging words, your kind heart, your generosity? What is it?
That amazing unique thing about you that attracts people to you, that makes people want to be like you. What have you taken off?

I don't want to know why you took it off. I don't want to know why you had to change. I don't want to know anything. I want you to know that, the boat sinks because of the water that gets into it and to keep it afloat, the water is fetched and poured back into the ocean. A part of the boat doesn't get broken off to keep it afloat, it is the water that is fetched.

You know what that means? It means that you shouldn't let the troubles, challenges, bad attitude of people, etc take any sweet part away from you.
Be who you are regardless of what life may throw at you, regardless of how people will treat you, be full of the goodness and positivity you've always had.

#InTheLandOfImaginations: WHAT GOD TOOK FROM ME

Efe spun around in her room, as she looked at how beautiful she looked in her dress. She'd carefully chosen this orange circle dress just to look her best. Orange was Ebo's favourite colour and it will suit the occasion best she thought.

She paused... Something was missing... She stood still carefully scrutinizing her look, trying to figure out what was missing... She folded her arms across her chest and tapped her lips with her right index finger... "Ah haaa!" she finally let out.. She needed a necklace and she knew just which one to wear. She'd wear the one Ebo bought her on her last birthday.

She took the clothes off, took her towel and dashed into the bathroom. As she bathed she thought about Ebo, about her and about them.
They grew up together in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools even up to the University. Everyone, including her knew how a perfect match they both were for each other, but the problem was, Ebo didn't seem to see it. She'…

#EchoesOfInspiration: LOTTERY CALLED LIFE

I don't know how old you are but I know that more than half of your life has been used either for giving up, thinking about giving up, almost giving up and thinking you could never get there, you could never get to get stuff done or simply that life wasn't worth it at all

Quick reminder: you're not alone

Which one amongst us asked to be given birth to?

Reality check: none of us!

But we're here anyway, so what are we going to do? Sit down, just grow up and eventually die, or make the most out of this "unfortunate" situation called life?
I'd take the latter. You know why? Because life is like the lottery and  you have to be in it to win it as said in the movie "NAKED"

Many of us have given up on love and relationships. We don't want it anymore because someone hurt us so bad. So in order to avoid getting hurt again, we'd choose to remain single.
Do you know that means you've lost the game? That makes you the loser, that makes you a quit…

#EchoesOfInspiration: GOD IS A TAXI DRIVER

Last night I met God. He was just getting off the phone with someone.
"in an hour's time" He said roughly, yet calmly, then he ended the call. I bet it was a prayer he was answering. (Thinking about it, that one hour he said, could mean one year oo)

When I saw him. I just knew he was the one I'd go with. He laughed a lot and for some reasons, I was drawn to him.
So after boo negotiated the fare,  I took my good bye kiss which he always, carefully plants on my forehead in the same way you put an egg down.
"Keep the jacket" he said smiling as I opened the door lazily and sat at the back seat

After sitting, I took a moment to scan the seat, as my ears caught the sound of a favorite gospel song playing and I'd never seen a taxi so dirty like the one I sat in.
"Oh what happened here?" I asked calmly though with displeasure.
"Oh a woman I just dropped off" he replied shrugging his shoulders like he really wasn't bothered about it, no, …
