WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NURSE'S CAP

Hello there,

Growing up, I wanted to be a lot of things. I wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, a hairdresser, a seamstress, a Rev Sister, a nurse and list goes on.
To each profession there was a reason why I had considered it. And for a nurse, it was because of the small cute hat that they put on their head. To me it made them look so adorable and sweet. Back then, nurses were nice people and right now I'm wondering if it was because I was a child then.

These days, you'll hardly see a nurse wearing a cap, the sweet smile and having that adorable look. Why? Because they've taken it all off. If I tell you I no dey fear nurse's now, I dey lie. Their sharp tongue alone will increase your temperature. But of course, I'm talking about the bad nuts here.

So I ask, what attractive thing about you have you taken off? Maybe because of a bad experience with a situation or someone.
Is it your sweet smile, your amazing laughter, your friendliness, your playfulness, your encouraging words, your kind heart, your generosity? What is it?
That amazing unique thing about you that attracts people to you, that makes people want to be like you. What have you taken off?

I don't want to know why you took it off. I don't want to know why you had to change. I don't want to know anything. I want you to know that, the boat sinks because of the water that gets into it and to keep it afloat, the water is fetched and poured back into the ocean. A part of the boat doesn't get broken off to keep it afloat, it is the water that is fetched.

You know what that means? It means that you shouldn't let the troubles, challenges, bad attitude of people, etc take any sweet part away from you.
Be who you are regardless of what life may throw at you, regardless of how people will treat you, be full of the goodness and positivity you've always had.

#TheReminder: GO GET A COPY

Hey there,
I cannot remember the last time I shared a blog post. It has been a great while. I have been away and doing nothing really except reading so much, school and getting into facebook squabbles(lol). But it is all over now. Time to get back to things that really matter. Aye!

So here is how we are going to start. Here is how we are coming back. As God willed it, my maiden book is almost done and it is titled THE REMINDER. I had a good friend help with the editing and here is a review he wrote. I'd like for you to read it and get to know a little about this book. In the meantime, till i start writing again.

"The book you are about to pay for has a hundred and thirteen pages besides the forward and introduction. It contains a collection of poems, memoirs and narratives from several sources all crafted to tell an elaborate story that is supposed to be a reminder that will strike you to respond to the things we so easily ignore.
In this book, The Reminder, you will find you…

WHY BREAKING YOUR VIRGINITY IS PAINFUL

Bonsoir!

I guess you had an amazing weekend. I'm wondering why nobody thanks God for Mondays. I mean, there's nothing like TGIM as there is TGIF... Lol

Everyone knows that a woman's first sex is painful, breaking her virginity is paainful! But do you know why it's painful?

When we buy a "tear rubber" product, what do we do to them in order to use it? As the name suggests, we tear the rubber!

Imagine you were the rubber being torn.. Ouch!
Breaking your virginity is painful because as a virgin, you're a "tear rubber" product. Your hymen that is attached to you happens to be the rubber that gets torn and voila! Sex is sweet afterwards.

Wondering what I'm driving at?? It's simple! START UPS! Start ups are a painful experience from the beginning. You'll be wondering why you're struggling to learn that new skill, why you're suffering to start up that business, why you're struggling to adapt to your new work or school schedule, …

#MemoirsOfATraveler: SAVED BY TAKORADI

This is me standing in a bus traveling from Accra to Kakum. After standing for almost 3 hours, I start asking myself, can I really stand through the return journey after having all the fun?? Of course not! So I decided to go back to what should have been a planned and well organized trip to Takoradi, to spend the rest of the weekend and return in grand style. (ie: sitting in my own seat, listening to good music, reading and eating.) Unfortunately, I slept through most of the journey and if my head could fall off, it would have fallen off and rolled everywhere inside the bus. Because I did a great deal of dozing. LOL

My stay in, is it the oil city they call it? Was brief. As brief as an orgasm. And like an orgasm, it was exciting! Though I didn't visit any popular landmark. I went to the beach, the harbor view gardens and the Atlantic Hotel.
The journey from Cape Coast to Takoradi was as dark as the battle of Winterfell. There are no street lights and we have past a…
